A secluded campground at the northern end of Brisbane Ranges National Park, known for spring wildflowers and spotting kangaroos/koalas — a trailhead for the 3-day Burchell Trail. 6 tent sites plus 1 for a camp trailer/caravan, unpowered, max 6 people/site. Communal fireplaces and picnic tables, non-flushing toilets, untreated tank water (bring your own drinking water). Firewood collection not permitted. Gravel/dirt access road, doable with a caravan but not the easiest. No dogs.
Access is manageable but take the last stretch slowly, especially after rain.
On the ground you'll find basic (non-flush) toilets, no showers, unpowered sites, fires allowed in designated fireplaces (never on Total Fire Ban days). Nearest shops: About 30 min drive to Anakie for supplies, so arrive fully stocked.
It sits roughly 80 km from Melbourne in the Central Victoria, which makes it an easy run for a weekend or even an overnighter.
