A family tent-camping site (opened 2014) in temperate rainforest within Bunyip State Park, surrounded by walking tracks including the Mortimer Nature Walk. Caravans and campervans not permitted; vehicles stay in the car park, not on campsites. Camping not permitted in the adjacent picnic area. Long-drop toilet, fire pits, no bins (pack it out). No dogs — banned throughout Bunyip State Park.
Access is manageable but take the last stretch slowly, especially after rain.
On the ground you'll find basic (non-flush) toilets, no showers, unpowered sites, fires allowed in designated fireplaces (never on Total Fire Ban days). Nearest shops: Mapleridge Local Produce, Cockatoo, ~8km — handy for anything you forget.
