A small, relaxed recreation area beside Big Pats Creek near Warburton, good for brown trout and blackfish fishing, and the starting point for the Walk into History / Richards Curves walking tracks. A stone's throw from Warburton's attractions. Suitable for 2WD vehicles; water available but must be boiled before drinking. Not really a defined campground — more a day-picnic area that also permits overnight camping. Dog friendly, free, no bookings.
Access is manageable but take the last stretch slowly, especially after rain.
On the ground you'll find basic (non-flush) toilets, no showers, unpowered sites, fires allowed in designated fireplaces (never on Total Fire Ban days). Nearest shops: IGA Warburton, ~6km — handy for anything you forget.
