A Crown Land foreshore reserve at Capel Sound/Rosebud West, managed by a DELWP-appointed committee, stretching from Chinamans Creek to Shirlow Avenue, Rye. Grassy, powered and unpowered sites, some with absolute beach frontage. Camp kitchen, dump point, boat ramp, picnic/BBQ facilities, disabled access to beach, toilet and shower. The nearby beach allows dogs at certain times, but check with the reserve before bringing a dog to the campground. Camping is only open 1 September to 31 May — the campground is closed June, July and August.
Access is manageable but take the last stretch slowly, especially after rain.
